How can I find rates and property information online?
Use Xplorer
to find rates and property information by searching for a particular
address or by using the Property Identify tool to click on a
particular property.
Where are the underground services in my street?
Use Xplorer
to find your property then click on the check box next to Water
Services, Stormwater Services and Sewer Services in the layers tab.
How can I find a zone within the District Plan?
Within Xplorer
select the District Plan map type from the drop down
box to the right of the Xplorer logo. Zoom into an area of interest
then click on the drop down box that says Select Identify
Layer. Select Zones from the drop down box and then
click on the map. The zone type for the area will be displayed
in the Search tab.
Background on Xplorer
Xplorer is designed for public use, with the focus as a simple
but functional application that can be used with various levels
of computer literacy. Xplorer places a special emphasis on the
provision of public access to council information for the benefit
of the public and especially council ratepayers.
The data that supports Xplorer consists of geographic and related
information including aerial photography. Xplorer provides the
ability to view data such as Property or Land Information, Infrastructural
Services, and the District Plan.

Use Xplorer to find a
property by following
these steps:

Launch
Xplorer |
| 2. |
Click on the search tab |
| 3. |
Click on 'Find by Address' |
| 4. |
Enter a house number and a street address |
| 5. |
Click on 'Submit' |
| 6. |
Xplorer will zoom to the property and show the
details. |
