WHO WILL USE THE FACILITY; AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE ?
Any community organisation wanting to make the facility their home or to provide an activity or service for the district
Regional groups to hold meetings, seminars, conferences and cultural activities
Health organisations that are not able to find suitable accommodation at the medical centre or currently do not offer services in town
Outside organisations for sales promotions, conferences, seminars and other activities
Expanded library services to include a full Toy Library service and better access to technology
Council meetings, hearings and other public meetings
WHAT WILL IT COST?
The current full cost of the project is $5.58m
The Council?s commitment of $1m towards the construction still remains valid as part of the Council?s current Long Term Plan
The remainder of the construction costs will be raised through grants and donations
The operating costs once built have been included in the Council?s Long Term Plan
Every month that passes has an effect on the final cost
