Consultation
Landowner, community, and stakeholder consultation is a critical part of the evaluation stage of this study. Two rounds of consultation are planned, one to identify the community values associated with any ‘special’ landscapes and then to map them, and the second, to identify and verify the extent of important Landscapes; or the ‘lines on the maps’ stage.

Consultation will involve meetings and workshops with key stakeholder interest group representatives such as landowners and iwi, and also several community meetings or workshops held in different parts of the Wairarapa, which will be open to the public.
