Dog Control Policy and Practices Annual Report 2009/10
Council at its meeting on 24 November 2010 adopted the Dog Control Policy and Practices Annual report 2009/10, as required pursuant to section 10A of the dog Control Act 1996. Copies of the Report are available at the Council’s Office and District Library, Holloway Street, Carterton or by clicking here At its meeting on 24 November 2010, Council has resolved to make a bylaw known as the Wastewater Bylaw 2011. The draft bylaw allows better control of the activity and formal determination of the point of discharge into the public system. This bylaw has been made pursuant to Sections 83, 86, 145, 146, 148 and 156 Local Government Act 2002.

The Council welcomes and will consider all comments made by way of written submission. The Draft Wastewater Bylaw 2011 is available at the Council Office, Holloway Street, Carterton or by clicking here. Submissions close 4.00 pm Friday 4th February 2011.

Carterton District Council is seeking sustainable solutions for its municipal wastewater treatment and disposal. CDC currently has an application for Resource Consent lodged with Greater Wellington Regional Council. CDC welcomes comment and discussion to help achieve the best practicable outcomes for the people of Carterton and the environment.
